Specimens are placed on a stage with a mechanical scale. Underneath, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. Halogen illumination is located below that and powered by an AC supply. The illumination brightness is adjustable. You can install light filters.

The camera is installed in an optical tube instead of an eyepiece and connected to a computer with an included USB cable in real-time mode.
