The focuser has a 2" SC-thread on the telescope side and an enlarged connecting flange on the eyepiece side to accommodate reducers for SC-telescopes, such as the Celestron 0.63x reducer. As a result, the focus position is only slightly affected, which is especially important for astrophotography, where the reducer is necessary for deep-sky photography in order to reduce the long focal length of SC-telescopes and thus obtain a larger, better illuminated field of view.
