A Herschel Wedge is proven to give a sharper, higher-contrast image than traditional metallized solar film or front-mounted glass solar filters, by eliminating reflections between the filter and front telescope lens. The result is a sharp, very high contrast view of Sun spots and solar surface granulation.
Please note: Refractor must be 150mm or smaller. Not for use with SCT, ACF, MAK, or Reflectors.
It is highly recommended to remove the viewfinder while solar observing to avoid any situation of looking into the viewfinder directly at the Sun.
